Black Friday week approaches, so here’s a no-nonsense breakdown of just the best deals you should actually take note of during the Black Friday sale.

Best Switch Black Friday Deals
Nintendo has rolled out a standout Black Friday deal for 2024, offering the Switch OLED bundle at $275 and the standard Switch bundle at $225. Both bundles include a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription, marking them one of the best Black Friday deals available in 2024.
More Switch highlights include Sonic X Generations for $29.99, Super Mario Odyssey for $29.99, and Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble for $19.99. My top pick is easily Sonic X Shadow Generations, which hasn’t been out for barely a month as is already on sale. This isn’t a bad sign, the game is excellent and has sold well, it’s just an brilliant deal, simple as.
Best PlayStation Black Friday Deals
This has been one of the best Black Friday is many years for PlayStation fans. For starters, there are the PlayStation 5 bundles, down to at least $375, but then there’s the PlayStation VR 2 bundle for $350, $25 off DualSense Controllers, discounts on games, and so much more. I’m particularly impressed by the DualSense discount, after first being a little disappointed.
While the gamepads are $5 more than they were last year on Black Friday, we’ve still got a $25 discount on the new DualSense Chroma Indigo Controllers, dropping from $79.99 to $54.99 at Amazon. It’s a killer deal, and the second most popular item bought by IGN readers so far this Black Friday. What’s the top? Elden Ring for $20.

As part of the Amazon Black Friday Sale, you can score a bonus $75 Amazon digital credit when you purchase a Meta Quest 3S VR headset for $299. The Quest 3S also comes bundled with the Batman: Arkham Shadow VR game and a three-month trial of Meta Quest+.

There are already some great Apple Black Friday deals available, but this is one of the very best. Amazon has just dropped prices across the board on various Apple iPad models for Black Friday, including the newest Apple iPad.
Right now, the 10th gen Apple iPad is down to $249.99 after you clip the $29.01 off coupon on the product page. This is the best price we’ve seen ever since it was launched back in 2022 and I am certain it won’t drop again for Black Friday.
Best Xbox Deals
You know all those great PS5 deals on games like Elden Ring, Metaphor: ReFantazio, etc? Well double those up here for Xbox as well, as the deals are exactly the same. We’re also cheating a little here, as both Star Wars Outlaws and Space Marine 2 are technically on sale for both PlayStation and Xbox as well.
But hey, Xbox needs to get at least some attention this Black Friday, and these games are still brilliant offers! Otherwise, the top Xbox deals are on the 1TB Expansion Card for $99, controllers for $39.99, or a great Best Buy deal where you can secure an Xbox Ghost or Sky Cipher controller, alongside a Fire TV Stick 4K, for just $52.99 when adding both to basket.

When Is Black Friday 2024?
The actual date of Black Friday in 2024 falls on November 29, but the holiday deals season starts a lot earlier than that. Plenty of retailers have already been dropping deals online. More and more deals will roll out leading up to the event, which culminates in massive discounts on Black Friday. Retailers will not reveal their biggest Black Friday deals until the big day, but most general deals will be available well in advance, such as the impressive Sonic deal.
